Aphelion

Unravel the mysteries of a murder case and try not to succumb to the fear of the unknown.

Aphelion is a lovecraftian horror mystery game, where the detective protagonist investigates a very strange and odd case, and tries not to succumb to insanity while searching for clues to unravel this mystery.

The intent is to make the player feel the psychological irrational fears caused by an unseen force that makes the characters insanely mad, wondering if what they see and hear is actually real or just a figment of their imagination.

This was a team project for the second year of the Game Design course, fully  developed by me, David Santos, and João Azuil. The project also contains some 3D and UI assets designed by our colleague Ana Franco.

The prototype for the first chapter was finished in May 2021.
